Instead of pursuing solutions that are consistent with America’s values, President Trump has decided to ease energy sanctions on Russia.

The grave danger we now face is that the current administration has undermined both prongs of deterrence strategy in different theaters — a lack of will in Ukraine and a lack of capacity in Iran.

This so-called deal with Russia will do little for America and much for Vladimir Putin as he seeks to sustain his murderous campaign on Ukraine.

At the end of the day, this deal from the White House is an attempt to boost their short-term political prospects at the true cost of the American people.
