The old playbook isn’t working, so this is exactly the debate Democrats need to have right now.

If Democrats win the Senate, it will almost certainly be by one vote, and we can’t afford to lose that vote due to a medical absence or emergency.

We will be conducting an investigation to get to the bottom of this. It’s pretty obvious, though, that these troops are not getting the mental health support that they need, and it’s our job in Congress to get to the bottom of that.

It’s why I won’t wait to do the hard thing and call out what’s not working in our own party.
