Mr. Speaker, we have heard the arguments here. This is what is possible. Despite what some have said here, this does expand the child tax credit. It is clear. No legislation that comes to this floor is perfect. We tried very hard, and we succeeded on the Democratic side in improving this legislation. What is in front of us tonight is pretty simple: 16 million children will benefit from the improvement to the child tax credit. That is a fact.
