the research is valuable to regional professionals and policy makers who are involved in the management of sport and commercial fisheries and are attempting to stop and reverse declines in those commercial fish populations across the country. By the way, the $150,000 that is involved in this amendment is for the acquisition of scientific equipment necessary to this research, which has impacts up and down the eastern coast of the United States for all of the anadromous fisheries. But it was centered in the Atlantic salmon by Congressman Conte. So I urge the rejection of the amendment by the gentleman from California.
