on Sunday, February 1st, the New England Patriots won their second Super Bowl in 3 years. The Patriots' season was a testament to teamwork, dedication, and determination in the face of adversity. Bouncing back from an opening day loss, the Patriots came together to put forth a season that will be remembered as one of the greatest in New England history. At no time in the season did any member of the Patriots profess to be more important than any other, and at no point did the loyal fans' support wane, even in the harshest conditions. The New England Patriots are a shining example of all that is good in sports: teamwork, sacrifice, and humility. They are deserving champions, and I am proud to join my New England colleagues in co-sponsoring this resolution honoring the Super Bowl XXXVIII Champion New England Patriots.
