The United States Senate has passed a resolution recognizing the illegal nature of the arms embargo, in not allowing that sovereign nation to defend itself, to obtain the weapons to defend itself against that enormously well-armed, well-supplied insurgency. By a vote of 87 to 9 it is in the budget which we are working under this year that the United States should unilaterally, because of the illegal nature of that embargo, lift that embargo.
