some people are concerned about the language because they thought my amendment was simply saying that we would study only single-payer, but, in fact, we have looked at some language and I am more than happy to ask for unanimous consent that my amendment be modified in accordance with the modification that has been sent to the desk which says that the study shall include an examination of the financial impacts of a range of health care reform proposals to include, but not be limited to, a single-payer insurance program compared to the current system across an 8-year period beginning in fiscal year 2000.
