I have taken out this special order today in honor of the memory of my dear friend, former Speaker Tip O'Neill. Madam Speaker, I wanted to take this opportunity to give my colleagues in the House a chance to pay their respect to the memory of this great man who so loved this institution. Tip O'Neill was a special breed of public servant. Nothing made this clearer than the thousands of people who waited in line in freezing temperatures for several hours to say goodbye to this man of the people. Many say that we will never see the likes of Tip O'Neill; that he was the last of his kind. I hope that this is not true. We need now, more than ever, the compassion, the caring, and the dedication that was part of him throughout his entire political career. As I have said before, we will all miss him, but we are richer for having known him.
