I think the president absolutely is legitimate in proclaiming a major legislative victory.

This is a legislative victory for the president, a big tax bill, a repeal of the Obamacare mandate among other things.

He went after both the Obama administration and the George W. Bush administration and did it in a very harsh way.

I think the president would be entitled to ask for a letter, something that would clear his name.
