Correct. Let me suggest this: what is at risk here is not the Republican Party, not the Democratic Party, but the viability and the health of our democracy. That is why, along with some very good Republicans, we are insistent that transparency be reintroduced into the legislative process.

I believe ardently that it is the responsibility of these Committees to do the oversight that is necessary to repair the damage that was done in the preceding Administration to America's image.
I wanted to note that in hearings before the Committee which I Chaired there were a number of military prosecutors that testified that described that entire process as a sham, a joke and a fraud being perpetrated.
We didn't get here because of government. We got here because government didn't do its job.
