I believe, as others, that it would be very foolish for us to allow the Internet to become encumbered with a patchwork of duplicative and overlapping taxes. The moratorium provided under the bill before us would ensure instead that policymakers have the opportunity to develop a coherent and uniform policy for the taxation of electronic commerce in the years to come.
