So is it true that the Republicans became a majority in this particular branch back in 1994? I was not here in 1994. I think the gentleman from Washington (Mr. McDermott) was here in 1994. But who has been setting the agenda and running the House of Representatives since January of 1995?

I think it says something about our system, our political system and how, you know, how there are powerful interests that oftentimes, I believe, don't really understand their own interests in the long term.
I wanted to note that in hearings before the Committee which I Chaired there were a number of military prosecutors that testified that described that entire process as a sham, a joke and a fraud being perpetrated.
If they want the market to function in a way where there is no government support, intervention, regulation, they will discover it if there is another September of 2008; it will be a debacle.
