In 1986, the United States installed an embassy in Baghdad, and, over the course of time, right up until the invasion by Saddam Hussein in Kuwait, but particularly during the Iraq-Iran war, we were providing intelligence, we were selling, or we allowed to be sold, dual-use technology, and I have a long list and I would commend my friend to go to a Congressional Research Service publication dated June 22, 1992.”
