Just a minute. They are holding Treasury notes, and the American taxpayer is sending money to China for the interest payments on those American negotiable instruments, on those Treasury bills. We are supporting education in China.

It isn't about government overregulating. It is government abdicating its responsibility to supervise.
I believe ardently that it is the responsibility of these Committees to do the oversight that is necessary to repair the damage that was done in the preceding Administration to America's image.
We didn't get here because of government. We got here because government didn't do its job.
I wanted to note that in hearings before the Committee which I Chaired there were a number of military prosecutors that testified that described that entire process as a sham, a joke and a fraud being perpetrated.
