“just as the ranking member, I want to say that the leadership shown both by the gentleman from Kansas and the gentlewoman from Florida on this has been very important. Particularly I would say the gentleman from Kansas has been a very steady contributor to our deliberations regarding the importance of balance; and given the physical conditions that have occurred in Florida and the reaction thereto, the gentlewoman from Florida (Ms. Wasserman Schultz) has been a real leader in trying to get an appropriate Federal response to the insurance crisis, and I am glad we were able to take this step today.”
