The attorney attempts in those cases where they have some opportunity to prove a negative, to say that, my client has been an upstanding member of the community for so many years. And in those cases where we have been able to find out the truth, we frequently find that the secret evidence was erroneous testimony, a wrong identification, or in some cases even a spiteful identification.
