The greatest threat to the national security of this country today is our debt. The Secretary of Defense has said that. He has said certainly it is a national security threat, as has the Secretary of State. So we need to get this debt down, we need to get this deficit down, we need to do it in every single area of the budget.
The speaker supports an amendment addressing defense budget reductions to manage national debt.
