Militarizing the streets of New Orleans is not a solution. Period.

It does bring in light the imbalance in our judicial system, as it relates to African Americans and people of color.

As a matter of fairness and representative democracy, African American voters should have a meaningful opportunity to elect candidates of their choosing.

All those banking on that, save the popcorn for another day.
