Steve Scalise: “Their mission is to keep Americans safe in our homeland, and they have started to move away from that.”

The only reason you can be against that is if you want voter fraud. It's the only explanation.

So we're sending them this idea in a bill that only needs 51 votes.

They get up here and they start voting against the wishes of the American people over and over and over again. And why? Not just to defend fraudsters.

We want to get a longer-term deal, but at a minimum, let's ensure that we can continue to see government properly funded and functioning.
