This act is intended to facilitate e-commerce and to provide legal certainty for electronic signatures, contracts and records where such certainty does not exist today. It is not in any way intended to limit the effectiveness of any other statute, regulation or other rule of law which permits the use of electronic records, electronic delivery, and electronic signatures, and which is otherwise consistent with the provisions of the act.
