I would like to announce for the information of the Senate and the public that a Field Hearing has been scheduled before the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. The hearing will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at the Cypress Bend Conference Center in Many, LA. The purpose of the hearing is to examine steps the federal government can take to increase the economic benefits of the Toledo Bend Project to the Northwest Louisiana region. Because of the limited time available for the hearing, witnesses may testify by invitation only.
