Mr. President, I was not here to hear all of my colleagues' remarks. I know there is a lot of concern about the end of the year and what might happen to try to balance our budget and give us a solid platform on which this economy could grow. But one of the things that is holding us up is the Republicans' refusal to put any new revenues on the table. They have been adamant and wrong and hardheaded and stubborn. They have been very obstructionist in this way--by not being willing to put a penny of new revenue on the table. Mr. President, I wanted to ask the Senator to yield so I can personally thank him for his leadership. It has been a pleasure working with him to build the Keystone Pipeline. He and I have worked together now for several years. We have…
I know the Senator from Tennessee is on the floor and I would like to take 2 or 3 minutes. I know we can go back and forth but I want to conclude a little bit of this debate we have had. First, I want to submit for the Record--because I am…
