This program has been extraordinarily effective. But the key to this is, it is just one step in the right direction. We need to be doing much more, much more to attract more quality students to the teaching profession, much more to hang on, retain the young people who are dedicated to teaching and want to do it for the rest of their lives. We need to make sure, No. 1, we get quality people, and, No. 2, once we get quality young men and women in the teaching profession, we keep them there with good training programs.
