This is a moment where it is refreshing to hear Speaker Johnson right here, you know, Republican, Democratic partisans, the president of the United States, saying, everybody take a step back, everybody take a breath.

Democracy is based on the idea of self-determination, one person, one vote. He essentially just said the Palestinians don't count, right?

This is why he lost the last election because a sliver of people, many of whom right now think they might vote for him because they're worried about inflation.

This race is as competitive as can be, which means the stakes tonight in this debate are as big as they could be.
