This race is as competitive as can be, which means the stakes tonight in this debate are as big as they could be.

It was a very strong speech. It was a forcefully delivered speech. It was in the president's wheelhouse, which is building alliances, which is a big contrast he wants to make with Donald Trump.

The stakes heading into this debate are just so enormous because the race is just so close.
