I point out, as regretful as that incident was when all those people died because of the heat, not one of them was saved by the existing LIHEAP program which is in full operation today. The LIHEAP program did not do them any good. Second, the B-2 bomber, a $13 billion investment, is estimated may end up saving us well over $640 billion over the long haul because of its payload. This is the weapons system for the future. It really has no place in this debate, because that is talking about the defense of this Nation.
