I beg of my colleagues to end this sad chapter in America. We have damaged the fiber of our representative democracy. We are tearing down the greatest country in the world by the deliberations here and over the past few months. I plead of you to stop. To stop. Please put an end to this madness. You have lost two of your own. We have lost the bipartisan spirit. But the real losers are the American people. Vote your conscience and your beliefs. I will. But let us move on.
