Through his election to Congress, Dalip Saund brought pride and joy not only to Indian-Americans, but to all Americans. Each of us owes a debt of gratitude to his trailblazing efforts, so that America could continue to be a land of opportunity. The naming of this post office in Mr. Saund's honor does justice not only to the man and his actions, but also to the American spirit and the belief that America is still the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
