John Yarmuth is a former U.S. Representative from Kentucky, serving in the House from January 4, 2007, to January 3, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, Yarmuth represented Kentucky's 3rd congressional district. During his time in office, he was known for his work on issues such as healthcare, education, and fiscal responsibility. He served on several committees, including the House Budget Committee, where he played a significant role in shaping budgetary policies.
But I also wonder whether, if it's true that a huge proportion of people who are now insured in the private arena moved to the public plan, doesn't that undermine your point that the private employer-based system is so popular?
I would express my deep concern that that is something that would not be looked upon favorably by my constituents.
The standards that you set in making the report say you want to increase the accountability of providers and the value of care.
I appreciate the courtesy you have extended to a non-Member of the Subcommittee.
We think there is a need for some quality adjustment in the payment system as well.
the transparency provisions and reforms that are built into the budget will provide a level of transparency to the American people about how this money is being spent that they have never seen before.
