The Rescue Plan laid the foundation for America's unprecedented recovery and economic resilience, and we are in a far better place because of it.

But temporary measures can't solve permanent problems.

I think that the American Rescue Plan did a lot to push against the spike in hardship that we would have seen that would have disproportionately fallen on communities of color that have for centuries faced systemic racism.

Of course, congratulations to the victors. It is getting old. I had that trophy for a little while. I haven't seen it in quite some time.
