I have kind of a rhetorical question, but I am going to ask it. Are you aware of any time when the Department of Defense has requested a budget that was less money than they thought they needed?
I am actually really excited as I have been listening to previous testimony that some of those ideas have already been incorporated.
I think that the American Rescue Plan did a lot to push against the spike in hardship that we would have seen that would have disproportionately fallen on communities of color that have for centuries faced systemic racism.
I say that as a son who had a chance to watch his father pass away in my home and cared for him and my mother for four years while I was living in Sacramento.
