Mr. Speaker, I move to suspend the rules and pass the bill (H.R. 1242) to establish the 400 Years of African-American History Commission, and for other purposes, as amended. The Clerk read the title of the bill. The text of the bill is as follows: H.R. 1242 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``400 Years of African- American History Commission Act''. SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. In this Act: (1) Commemoration.--The term ``commemoration'' means the commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the arrival of Africans in the English colonies, at Point Comfort, Virginia, in 1619. (2) Commission.--The term ``Commission'' means the 400 Years of African-American History Commission established by section 3(a). (3) Secretary.--The term ``Secretary'' means the Secretary of the Interior. SEC. 3. ESTABLISHMENT.
