As we work to reauthorize surface transportation programs and policies, it's my hope we can address school bus safety in a bipartisan manner that prevents such instances from occurring in the future.

Statistics show that the schoolbus is the safest and most regulated vehicle on the road.

I think clearly we put $15 billion into transit this year. Clearly that shows our willingness to support transit and the Capital Investment Grant program.

I think we all agree that the current CBA is not sufficient to address some of the issues, especially with litigation----
