When we deliver and make people’s lives better, they’re willing to vote in different ways. They’re willing to support different people, and that’s where we’ve got to be.
We want this to be something that’s more like people’s everyday lives, where you’re going to talk about politics for 20 minutes and then you’re going to switch to entertainment or sports, family or faith.
I think that’s just so important right now, when Americans don’t trust certain institutions, or at least want to be able to verify what they’re hearing through messages directly from their officials.
We’ve got to be more than just against someone. We’ve got to be for something, and that overall ‘something’ has to be a better life for the American people.
