There is no question that the Republicans want a total nationwide ban on abortion with no exceptions for incest, no exceptions for rape, an intolerable inhuman posture that they would put America in.

If we are to build a better Texas and a better America, we have got to build a better future for women across the country.

Congress is the arbiter of the Constitution and the responder to the American people and the protector of the American people's Constitutional rights.

I view this hearing as probably one of the most important hearings in my lifetime dealing with the absolute question of the survival of the Constitution.
