“I will always be pleased to be confused with the gentleman from Colorado, Mr. Bob Schaffer. I am proud of my vote the last time, so I stand here saying that the gentleman from Wisconsin [Mr. Obey] has worked with us on a number of points, and we appreciate that, but in general, it is easy to talk peace while carrying a sword to some degree. He knows that in fact we have worked with the President. We have agreed to work and compromise on a number of things in the budget agreement. He admits that he voted against the budget agreement whereas I voted for the budget agreement. So I think it is important in the American people, at least many of the people, there are some who are on the left or the right who have some justifiable criticisms with it but for the most part we are trying to move forward.”
