I think the entire concept of QALYs is contrary to the American values that set our free society apart from socialist healthcare systems.

The last thing Congress should be doing, in my view as a physician, is limit and relax requirements for prescribing and dispensing narcotic drugs like buprenorphine, even when there is political pressure and sometimes social pressure to do so.
I applaud the committee for beginning the process of reviewing what has been accomplished by the unprecedented steps made by the by the administration.
By encouraging early and routine screening, doctors will be able to catch the disease in its early and treatable stage, saving countless lives.
I do, again, want to reiterate my concerns about lifting regulatory requirements on qualifications required to prescribe these medications for MAT and I think that they are there for a reason.
