Mr. Chairman, in short, we are talking a lot today about values, a very ambiguous time, from time to time, but in fact, Mr. Chairman, with the blood, sweat and tears of our men and women in uniform, they have bought the freedom of the Iraqi people. If the Iraqi people do not learn that one invaluable lesson of our American values, then we can throw hundreds of billions of dollars into the restructuring of their country. That is why I think the Pence amendment is a very logical, reasonable, rational approach to the funding of the reconstruction of that country.
