If this is the case, why did he not ask for this? We don't need to include this additional funding to meet the needs of the people for the disasters that have already occurred. The funding necessary to do that is included in the House bill on which we will be voting. Republicans want to ensure that the communities devastated by disasters receive the resources that will help them rebuild. We recognize that American citizens have had their lives turned upside down by Mother Nature. The CR will provide adequate disaster relief through November in accordance with the President's request and FEMA's stated needs. As a result, there is no need to have all of this additional assistance immediately as part of the CR. I urge Members to support passage of the CR the House will be sending us. The PRESIDING OFFICER.
