I am here to make a point about that. I think it is inappropriate that the bank was subjected to unusual, or it should be unusual, political pressure from the Clinton administration to turn down the request of American companies for support in their competition for contracts related to the construction of the China Three Gorges Dam. The bank has put American companies at a severe competitive disadvantage. Our companies will lose hundreds of jobs, maybe thousands of jobs, worth millions of dollars to our major competitors: Japan, Canada, and Europe.
