I again want to reiterate my support for this important legislation to keep the United States at the forefront of discovery and fundamental research. Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleagues for their support. I encourage passage of H.R. 4377, and I yield back the balance of my time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion offered by the gentleman from Illinois (Mr. Hultgren) that the House suspend the rules and pass the bill, H.R. 4377, as amended. The question was taken; and (two-thirds being in the affirmative) the rules were suspended and the bill, as amended, was passed. The title of the bill was amended so as to read: ``A bill to direct the Secretary of Energy to carry out certain upgrades to research equipment and construct research user facilities, and for other purposes.''. A motion to reconsider was laid on the table. ____________________
