Mr. Speaker, here was the opportunity for the majority to say, ``We are going to focus in on this. We are not going to put up with any more nonsense of spending $145 billion.'' And the price tag, let's be honest, is up to $400 billion and rising. We know what we need to do here, Mr. Speaker. We know when to do it. And I urge us to be like-minded in stopping this approach that the majority has and a complete failure to deal with Fannie and Freddie in a responsible way, in my view, and not support the motion.
