I insist that republican be with a small ``r,'' and at the time when Thomas Jefferson assumed to run the democratic Republican Party. But we will not get into that detail. I would simply indicate that it would be my disposition, absent any contrary information, to accept the amendment. If the Senator wishes a vote, of course that is his right. But I will defer to the Senator from Colorado in this regard.
