“When President Eisenhower developed the Interstate Highway System after coming back from Europe in the Second World War, it wasn't brought to you by some corporate sponsor. It is a recognition that there are things that government does that have value. It accomplishes things the private sector can't or won't do, and that doesn't mean they shouldn't get done.
