As I mentioned earlier in my statement, I cannot support the amendment that would provide benefits to one group of allied veterans before considering that same eligibility for all veterans. I appreciate the opportunity for the chairman to work with us to make sure that all the U.S. Armed Forces that have supported us over the years, that we can come to some sort of agreement. Mr. Speaker, I urge Members to oppose this amendment, and I yield back the balance of my time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to House Resolution 1224, the previous question is ordered on the amendment offered by the gentleman from California (Mr. Takano). The question is on the amendment. The amendment was agreed to. A motion to reconsider was laid on the table. Amendment No. 650 Offered by Ms. Wild The SPEAKER pro tempore. It is now in order to consider amendment No. 650 printed in part A of House Report 117-405.
