The civil code was just changed recently in Puerto Rico to undermine same-sex marriages.

So, don't let anyone tell you that statehood will somehow diminish our cultural pride and heritage.

There should be no territories in this country. We need to move this issue forward one way or another.

Statehood means complete protection of the U.S. Constitution to more than 3 million Americans.
