I want to draw attention to one part of this very large energy bill which draws attention to the insular areas and allows them to develop alternative sources and gives that additional emphasis. However, I am concerned about, under section 701, assessment of renewable energy resources, and section 702, renewable energy production incentives. There is a lot of attention drawn to solar power, there is attention drawn to geothermal, but there is no attention drawn to ocean thermal energy, which is a distinct possibility, particularly for those areas that are in the tropical zones. So I would like to ask the chairman of the Committee on Science to enter into a brief colloquy. Would the chairman be willing to work with us to consider inserting some language about ocean thermal energy into the assessment of renewable energy resources?
