my amendment would allow the continued U.S. participation in and contributions to the World Bank's International Development Association, the Asian Development Fund and the African Development Fund, three key institutions for which funding has been adequately provided in the underlying bill. Requested by the Treasury Department, my amendment would enable the U.S. to deliver on its international commitments and continue the flow of crucial resources to the world's poorest countries. It enjoys the bipartisan support of the gentleman from Ohio (Chairman Oxley) and the gentleman from Massachusetts (Mr. Frank), ranking member, of the Committee on Financial Services. And I thank the gentleman from Arizona (Chairman Kolbe) and the gentlewoman from New York (Mrs. Lowey), ranking member, of this subcommittee for working with us on this amendment. I urge my colleagues to support the amendment.
