Not supporting this rule would mean letting the steel workers of our country down when they need us most. Furthermore, it would be a step backward from the progress made to help industries thus far. Free and fair trade, the proponents of trade talk about free and fair trade, and the opponents of trade talk about free and fair trade; and it was this administration that finally took action against unfair trade. That is kind of hard to believe when we had a lot of this steel crisis within the past administration, also; but it was a Republican administration that said there is illegal dumping of steel and we are going to take action against it. So that is why this resolution, I know well-intentioned, is very detrimental to getting our steel mills and our workers back into the mills and creating jobs.
