I thank my colleague Debbie Dingell for her leadership on the issue.

No child should have their right to life taken from them because they become trapped in a hot car.

I applaud Chairwoman Schakowsky and Congressman Ryan for their work on the Hot Cars Act.

This is unacceptable. We can do better, and we must do better.
